Description
Apt Resources is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an Agriculture Engineer to join the team at a leading agricultural operation in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The Agriculture Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative agricultural practices and technologies to improve crop production and farm efficiency. This role requires a combination of engineering expertise and agricultural knowledge to tackle challenges in the field.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop agricultural systems, equipment, and structures to optimize crop production.
- Analyze field data and evaluate the performance of agricultural machinery and technologies.
- Collaborate with farm managers to develop efficient irrigation systems and nutrient management plans.
- Implement advanced farming techniques, including precision agriculture and sustainable farming practices.
- Conduct research to identify new agricultural technologies and innovations that can be adopted on the farm.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful installation and operation of agricultural equipment.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for agricultural machinery and systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop training programs for farm staff on the use of new technologies and equipment.
- Assist in preparing budgets and project proposals for agricultural engineering projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in agricultural engineering or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of agricultural systems, machinery, and crop production techniques.
- Experience with precision agriculture technologies and irrigation systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with CAD software and agricultural engineering tools.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainable agricultural practices.
Benefits
