🎓 PhD position in Agronomy and Crop Science at the University of Göttingen, Germany 🌽
We are inviting applications for a four-year PhD position within the DFG Research Unit “MultiStress.” The PhD student will use hyperspectral imaging (HSI) alongside physiological, biochemical, and molecular analyses to investigate how maize responds to concurrent drought, nitrogen deficiency, and biotic stresses (stem borer and Setosphaeria turcica).
The project combines advanced phenotyping and data modeling to identify stress-adaptive traits in maize across Germany and Kenya.
This position is targeted at East African students to strengthen research collaboration between East Africa and Germany.
